
This is a subject where you have to be careful in my opinion. Without a doubt one of the most common mistakes in student animation to go on and start polishing some work when there are still fundamental issues with the scene. Don't make the mistake of thinking its everyone else who makes this mistake, chances are its you. So make sure you get as much feedback on your rough or blocked out animation as you can before moving on. Employers would much rather see animation where the fundamentals are right and a little less polish than "fancy" animation with basic problems.
